Additional Interpretation: This test is used to identify and quantitate the most common NPM1 mutations in exon 12 (mutations A, B and D) that are found in 25-35% of all cases of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and 45-60% of cases of karyotypically normal AML. This test can be used for diagnosis, response to treatment and monitoring for minimal residual disease (MRD) following therapy.
